Live/Work Abroad?

As a child I always thought about leaving Oklahoma. I dreamt of moving to another state getting a good job and raising a family. I think the only thing that stopped me from moving out of Oklahoma was the fear of the unknown, could I make it where nobody knows me and I dont know anyone?

Did I dream too small is a question that I ask now. why not dream bigger ? Well speaking to Dr. Sridhar Krisnaswami of SRM University in Chennai, India I wonder should I look at living abroad.

Before meeting Dr. Krisnaswami the thought of International life never entered my mind. But after meeting Dr. Krisnaswami and he told me that there is a growing need for graphic designers and advertising because of the news paper boom there. I have  wondered what would it be like to live abroad? Especially, when the economy in America is so bad and it is currently hard to find a job.

There will be barriers to my decision the language, the money, the leaving of my family, friends, everyone I  ever known. But are those decisions I can live with ?    I really don't know, but I intend to find out .....

Young rapper Lil B has announced that his new album will be called "I'm Gay."

Ok what sense does this make why would you want to proclaim yourself as something your not. and at least have a good explanation for what you mean

I could see if you had a explanation like NAS
Nas stated "We're taking power [away] from the word," he added. "No disrespect to none of them who were part of the civil-rights movement, but some of my n---as in the streets don't know who [civil-rights activist] Medgar Evers was. I love Medgar Evers, but some of the n---as in the streets don't know Medgar Evers, they know who Nas is. And to my older people who don't now who Nas is and who don't know what a street disciple is, stay outta this mutha----in' conversation. We'll talk to you when we're ready. Right now, we're on a whole new movement. We're taking power [away] from that word."

But I don't agree with just picking words for the sake of creating controversy.  And the wonder why people say real hip-hop is dead. To me it seems like Lil B he is going to allow his marketing skills to over shadow his talent. Word the the wise Lil B it doesn't matter what you call your LP,  real hip-hop heads care about that the LP is fire when it hits the deck.

Blind Fury Winner of the BET 106 in Park

Battle Rap is mostly about one line metaphors. But it goes a lil deeper than that you also have to factor in who goes first and who goes last, who's the crowd favorite, what did he say and what can I say to top him and the beat that is being played for the MC's.

To me the first thing a MC has to do is what is called "catch the beat" this is when the MC feels the vibe of the music. It is the most important part of the battle because the beat will dictate what the MC will open with. So therefore the ears play a large part in battle rap.

So saying all this I am not surprise to see the Freestyle Friday champ be a blind guy name Blind Fury who also happens to be white. I like him, not because he is a blind dude that raps but because how he raps his flow is sick.  But hey check it out for yourself.

Meek Mill - Tupac Back (Ft. Rick Ross) From the Self Made album

I happen to like Rick Ross I think the way he delivers his rhymes are nice and he usually has a catchy hook in his songs

The only thing I don't like about Ross is most of the time, he base his songs on other people's lives . In a sense I think he does this because himself has not gone through the things that the people he uses for inspiration have gone through. The only possible aspect that Ross can connect with is the fact that most of the people he chose at one time or another were financially unstable. Also know as broke, but honestly who can not relate to that issue.

Let's take a look at a few of the people Rick has chose to make money from by writing about their lifestyle.

First it began with his name Rick Ross which was based on the real life Drug Kingpin Freeway Ricky Ross. Freeway Rick Donnell Ross was the first person to sue The rapper Rick Ross for the use of his name

Panamanian Gen. Manuel Noriega Claim to know the real Noriega and supposedly Noriega ol' him a hundred favors

Pablo Escobar supposedly knows Pablo Escobar who died in 1993

Larry Hoover In the song B.M.F. he claims he thinks he is Larry Hoover how is that when Larry Hoover is serving six life sentence in a max security prison.

Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory In the song B.M.F. he claims he thinks he is Big Meech who is serving a 30 year sentence

Notorious Big AKA The Teflon Don One of the most notable rappers of all time who died in a L.A. drive-by Ross titled his latest CD after BIG who got the title from the original Teflon Don John Gotti

2Pac who died in a Las Vegas drive-by and with his latest mixtape he spits the names of Tupac's number one records.

Is there no end to what Rick Ross will claim he is or what he has become? The real question is without all the different people which Ross inspires to be like would he be as good as we think he is now?
